Stuffed Toma’Dor with bell pepper sauce

Stuffed Toma'Dor tomatoes with bell pepper sauce

  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 175 grams Toma’Dor tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 dl chicken broth
  • 150g mixed minced meat
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Pinch of Paprika powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil

Type of dish

  • Preheat the oven to 180°
  • Heat a dash of olive oil in a cooking pot. Saute the onion and garlic in it.
  • Remove the seeds from the peppers, cut into pieces and add to the onion and garlic.
  • Let it fry for a while and stir regularly.
  • Deglaze with the chicken broth and put on a small fire, with the lid on, to let the peppers cook.
  • Finally, mix the peppers until you get a smooth sauce.
  • Carefully cut a lid off the Toma’Dor tomatoes and carefully hollow them. Make sure the seeds and most of the liquid is out of the tomato. (Don’t throw this away, use in soup or tomato sauce!)
  • Mix the minced meat with the oregano, bell pepper, pepper, salt and breadcrumbs and fill the Toma’Dor tomatoes with this mixture.
  • Place a sheet of baking paper in an oven dish and place the filled Toma’Dor tomatoes, as well as the lids on it and place in the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Put a little of the warm sauce in a glass dish, carefully place a Toma’Dor tomato in it and put the lid on.

Tip: Finish with some edible golden dust for a festive touch!
